  7. Sweet Women of Faith,

So beautiful to watch both of you... mother and daughter singing together, voices blending ever so sweetly the message to "Stand By Me". Yes, we are all standing by you and your family in strong friendship and faith-filled prayers as He continues to stand firmly yet ever so lovingly by you through every storm, every tear, every heartache, every pain...and through the darkness, there is light...His light that shines ever so brightly to lead us all through and to the end of our storms and all throughout eternity.

You have blessed me so much this night again and I pray that the Lord's heavenly peace and grace cover you and your entire family as softly, yet oh so securely as finely woven white lace...a lace of purity and oneness with Him at all times.

I love you all so very much. I'm in awe of how the Lord connects people and fills our hearts with so much love for one another...yes we are of flesh and feel one another's joy and pain and through Him we will always have victory of darkness.

    Big Hugs,
    Alleluiabelle

  9. Melanie, that was simply beautiful. I have been following your blog for many months, have written comments on some of my visits. But always, I have prayed for you, for Andrew, and your family. It is such a blessing that God stands by you during the most difficult and trying days of your life. I have no doubt that your family will continue to be a testamony and a blessing to others as we all watch and experience your faith in loss.
    xoxo...Kathy

  11. Love it Mel!! Keep Standing!(Eph 6:13, 14), and He will stand by you! By the way, you don't need to "do it a third time." (Audray at the end.) *grin*

(yes, this is the same comment I left on FB)

  15. Melanie,

My name is Leslie. My daughter, Emily, goes to school with Audra, and you all have been in my prayers since we first heard of Andrew's illness. I have not posted on your blog until now. Sometimes words seem so inadequate. But I have been wanting you to know that you have been and are still in my prayers.

I have suffered from a chronic and incurable illness for many years. It causes pain and inability to eat. In recent years it has gotten much worse. I have had many surgeries. I do not know the outcome. I continue to ask God for healing - I continue to ask Him for grace to live each day that He gives me.

Although I have not walked the same road that you are walking, I understand pain and loss and grief. I understand the psalmist when he cries, "Be merciful to me, O Lord, for I am in distress; my eyes grow weak with sorrow, my soul and my body with grief. My life is consumed by anguish and my years by groaning; my strength fails because of my affliction..." Ps. 31:9-10

When I woke in the middle of the night ill and in pain, I often thought of and prayed for Andrew and for you. I am still here, grieving with you. I think that sounds presumptious, but it is the truth. The Lord continues to put you and your family on my heart, and I continue to ask Him to comfort you and help you and hold you up. I know what it feels like to have no strength to stand. And yet somehow we do, because He is able to make us stand. Thank you for sharing your heart with us. I write this to you in His love. May His unfailing love uphold you today.

    Leslie
