Monday Magnificat has moved! & The Middle Man

The Middle Man
About a year ago, I casually, yet excitedly, blurted out to my family, "Let's change our lives!" My suggestion was met with various responses. Guitar Girl was the most vocal, "Mom, that is so like you! Here we are driving along in silence and you come out with that!"

Well...we have had some changes. Not what I had in mind and none that I would have asked for but God has certainly been in the midst of those changes.

Jesus said of Himself, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last” Revelation 22:13. And I have found Him to be right in the middle, too! He sees the end from the beginning but He doesn't leave us alone to work out the process of getting from beginning to end. He is in our midst ~ our middle.

The three Hebrew boys found Him to be a middle man, too! When King Nebuchadnezzer had those faithful men bound and thrown into the fiery furnace, 3 went in but a 4th showed up!

The king was astonished and said, "Look! I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God” Daniel 3:25. (The fourth man - a preincarnate appearance of the Messiah)

In the midst of our process I am changing. I have posted in the past about some new ministry projects that I have been working on. But so much was put on hold with my husband's accident on 1/1/09.

However even in my middle, God is speaking and I am listening.

A change on my blog is my Monday Magnificat has been moved here. It is my 2nd blog that has been up for awhile, more as a placeholder than anything else. But things are changing...

Are you in the midst of change?

  2. Isn't is great how God designs our lives if we follow his leading? Making some head way - stuck on E and N. Any ideas?

  3. I am in a growth spurt. It is time to go to another level. I am doing a mailout (postcard) to expand the places I speak. My talented friend designed it and it looks really nice. I am excited. I have MORE to 'Tell' you later.B

  6. I really like this thought of Jesus as the middle man. Reminds me of Isaiah 43 (isn't it?) that says, "When you walk through the water, I will be with you..." He doesn't just stand on the other side, waiting with a towel. Here's there in the midst, in the middle, with us. :)

  7. Wow, this was good. I've never thought of God being in the middle like that. Great illustration.

And, I love your new Picture. You're just darling!

One of these days, we need to have ourselves a little blogunion. Gather uP some of these gals we've been blogging with and meet each other. I did that in Charlotte last month.

  10. Please see the comments on your other blog regarding "all of this" and more.

Thank God for his willingness to intervene in the likes of my many fires along the way. Truly, I've never heard him more clearly then when I've been in the midst of some flames and some hot.

    Have a blessed week.

  11. Wasn't that amazing the words from that web site? I receive their devotional/word/picture/ ? every morning. God has her talk about things He has said to me. Some of them seem so out there to me and then she writes them. I need to let them know how the Lord is using their writings in my walk. They have 'good' hearing. I think I need to post my news, however you may be the only one to appreciate the symbolism. I am thankful that God is connecting us through the www. Isn't He just the BEST!!! b

  13. Thanks so much for visiting my blog today - and opening the door for me to come visit you!
Yes, Jesus is in the midst of everything. He makes His way into the middle of my messes, my joys, my chaos and my peace. He is in the middle of every detail.
    And I am so thankful!
BTW, how far are you from Ocala?
