EDITED @ 8:00 P.M. EST Urgent! Please Pray!

It's me, Melanie (Bella~Mella). The surgeon just spoke to us and Andrew came through surgery. He removed most of the tumor. Dr. Pincus said when Andrew wakes up, we will know if there is any damage...loss of cognitive ability, paralysis, etc.
WE ARE BELIEVING FOR THE MIRACLE TO BE 100%. KEEP BELIEVING WITH US!!!
AS ALWAYS, WE ARE GOING WITH GOD ON THIS.
ANOTHER HOUR AND WE WILL SEE THE GOODNESS OF THE LORD IN THE LAND OF THE LIVING.
THANK YOU SISTERS FOR YOUR INTERCESSION, FOR NOT GIVING UP, FOR WAKING IN THE NIGHT TO PRAY, FOR ENCOURAGING ME.
LOVE,
MELANIE,
&
KISSES FROM ANDREW (SKATE~BOY)

Hey bloggy friends!
This is Lisa for Melanie. I just spoke with Melanie and as we were speaking Andrew had just been taken back for surgery. Life-saving surgery. They've had a rough three days and this morning God led them to a hospital in Gainesville called Shand's. Dr. Pincus is performing a surgery on a cancer they were told is inoperable. Please pray for Andrew and Dr. Pincus and the entire Dorsey family. The surgery will last for approximately four hours.

Lord, You are mighty to save. We believe you are still in the business of miracles. We believe that even though the doctors may say Andrew's life hangs in the balance, actually it is You who hold Andrew's life safely in the palm of your hand. Lord, rise today with healing in your wings as you cover Andrew in your shelter. Holy Spirit, we ask that you minister peace and comfort to those who wait...on you. Still the hands of Dr. Pincus as he takes on this nasty disease. Lead us all in prayer as we storm the gates of heaven on behalf of Andrew and the Dorseys.
In Jesus' Name Amen!

  20. Praying too and believing he'll be completely fine after surgery. Praising God for the miraculous work He did today and for getting you to that cancer treatment center. I want to say shame of those other doctors, but I'm sure they were doing all they knew to do. Love and ((hugs)) from one of your sisters who is under His wings.

  21. Sovereign loving Father, You who loves this child and knows each cell in his body, please guide this surgeon's hand, orchestrate each move done by each medical technician there and let this cancer be contained and excised totally. I pray that there will be no side effects on this child except for the knowledge that God, His God delivered him for a glorious purpose. Be with the entire family this hour. Pour Your grace liberally even now. For Your renown, O Lord, for Your renown, let healing come. Now to Him Who is able to do far more than we could ever imagine, to You O, Lord, be the glory forever and ever, Amen.

  38. Precious Melanie,

Just found this blog through Edie at Rich Gifts. I am rejoicing that the Father has guided the surgeons hands and for whatever reason this scripture came to me:

Song of Solomon 2:4 He has taken me to the banquet hall, and his banner over me is love.

Taste and see that the Lord is good. His banner over you is LOVE!

God Bless - expecting good reports.

  48. I felt led to log back on my computer and post this Psalm to you.

    Psalm 91 (NIV)

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. [a]

2 I will say [b] of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."

3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence.

    4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,

6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.

8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 If you make the Most High your dwelling— even the LORD, who is my refuge-

10 then no harm will befall you,
no disaster will come near your tent.

    11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;

12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."

Okay, now I can rest. I had to post this for whatever His reason is.

  55. Wow, all these people praying for Andrew! Me, too! I am sure all will be well. God creates miracles every day. I know. He has done it time after time for my children, some of whom were given no chance to leave (they are now ages 30, 32, and 33), including my granddaughter, who is hanging in there with a big smile at four months. These are God's special people. I am convinced that He gives them special consideration and special care. (I have listed your link to Andrew on my blog prayer list.)

  56. Melanie, normally I'm asleep at 5 on a Saturday--but we had an away cross country meet, and I decided to check email and blog. :)

Our youngest prayed for Andrew last night as he was going to bed...at 9:00--an hour into the surgery. I will keep you all in my prayers today. God is good and faithful!! We know that--let us hold fast to His precious promises.

    Love you!

  57. I too am up early praying for all of you and checking for updates. My early devotion this morning was from Daily Light by Bagster/Lotz...the title of the September 12th devotion says, "I have seen his ways, and will heal him. The devotion ends by saying, "Your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction (Mark 5:34). I am praying that over and over for your Andrew and my Rachel.
