Last week I was impressed to begin praying Psalm 27 over Andrew. Yesterday his sister, Audra (Guitar Girl), put the 27th Psalm on a poster board for his room. She used The Message version.
Why not read that tonight with your children? Let that be a part of your nightly routine tonight or sometime very soon.
Please know that every pray you are praying, every scripture you send me in a comment or email lifts us up. I share your faith filled comments with my family.
"Thanks be to God who always leads us in triumphal procession and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him" 2nd Cor. 2:14.
Worship Him. Praise Him. Persist in Prayer. Be in unity. Take your authority. Spiritual warfare: pursue, overtake, recover.
Psalm 27 has walked with me since my Grandmother taught it to me as a child especially vs. 13-14.
ReplyDeleteMy love and prayers remain with Andrew and your family dear sister.
Be still and know that GOD is GOD indeed! His Hand is upon Andrew from top to bottom.
Just as in Esther, God can use you "for such a time as this"....who knows (or maybe you'll never know) how God is using this incredible trial in the life of your family to minister to others....praying for strength for you and your family. Take care and know that there are many you don't even know praying on your behalf. Be strong.

I'm here and I'm praying. laurie
ReplyDeleteI am praying for your precious child. Hold on to the Lord's hand and don't let go. We are all praying and have faith that our prayers will be heard. "I can do all things thru Christ..." ((HUGS))

I will contend with those that contend with you, and your children I will save. Isaiah 49:25b
ReplyDeleteAll your sons (and daughters) will be taught by the Lord and great will be their peace. Isaiah 54:13
"This attack upon Andrew's brain has advanced against him to try to devour the brain, the mind of Christ, each symptom that has come to attack Andrew, each diagnosis that is found, WILL STUMBLE AND FALL.
Though an army of medical tests besiege Andrew, His hear will not fear, though war breaks out against him as the enemy attacks his brain, EVEN THEN Andrew is COVERED in confidence.
One thing that we ask oh Lord, this is what we are seeking, that we may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of our lives, that we Your crown of splendor may gaze FAther upon upon Your beauty and to seek You in Your temple!
For in the day of trouble, for during this time upon Andrew's life Father God, You are, YOU ARE keeping Andrew and his family safe in Your presence as the war wages on. You ARE hiding Andrew in the shelter of Your tabernacle. and have set him high upon a rock.
Andrew's head, his brain Father God will be exalted above the enemies that have surrounded his brain; and at Your presence Father God, Andrew and his family sacrifice with shouts of joy; their human bodies, a living sacrifice praising You in this storm instead of falling to defeat, they stand and PRAISE PRAISE PRAISE in Your presence.Thank You for the song that You have placed within Melanie Lord, causing her to make music to You, and in so doing, brought us to make music to You..a battle cry song of victory"
In Jesus Christ's Name, the King of kings and the Lord of lords, Your One and Only begotten Son, the One You gave to us, the One that has come to defeat the enemy who tries to kill, steal and destroy from Your children so that we will have an abundant life in and through His power and His glory upon us.
amen amen amen...We praise You Father God that Your Word shall not return to You void. We praise You Father that You are the Defender, our Father, the One that cares for this precious boy Andrew, a fisher of men for You..we glorify You and praise You!!!
I'm here and I'm praying.
ReplyDeleteLove Psalm 27...it reminds me of several of the praise songs I know.
v.13 I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord.
Oh Melanie:
ReplyDeleteKeep holding to God's TRUTHS from His Word. That is where you will gather His strength in your weakest moments of this trial with Andrew.
Psalm 27:13-14 are from the LPM memory verses that I chose to learn this year - full of promise! I see others have clung to those same ones!
Our confidence is in GOD - not in ourselves or our circumstances. And God is GOOD all the time and all the time God is GOOD!
Your hope and peace is found in Him alone. I put a prayer down the other night on my Shepherd's Walk prayer blog and I'm adding Andrew's Prayer button after I sign out of your blog! Many are praying for God to do His work in you and your family so that God may shine forth His glory through it all!
Choosing JOY, Stephanie
[JESUS - For His Name's Sake]
Will pray for Andrew (and the other Andrew) and for your families. Just know that God is holding your hand every moment of the day, even if you don't feel it. He is there.
ReplyDeleteWhen you go to sleep at night, He is there next to you, watching over you (and Andrew) and He never sleeps.
When you wake up, He is there, holding you. When you leave the house he goes before you and behind you (Isaiah 52:12) and you will go out in joy and be led forth in peace (Isa. 55:12)!
If you haven't already, it might help to write some of God's promises to you and to Andrew on 3x5 cards and put them in your purse.
That way, when you are having trouble thinking truth or remembering His promises, you can pull the cards out and read them, and speak God's truth into your heart.
Here via Sarah Mae. I can't imagine the depth of your plea to Almighty God to heal your son, but I join you in beseeching Him to grant a miracle.
ReplyDeleteSo many times today God brought you to my mind, and when He did I prayed for you, your husband, your daughter and your precious son. Psalms 27 is a calming and reassuring Psalms. How blessed we are to have it in times like these. Hurting with you!
ReplyDeleteKeeping Andrew, you and your family in our prayers...

My prayers for Andrew will not stop. Isaiah 53:4-5 "Surely He hath borne our griefs (Lit. sicknesses) and carried our sorrows (Lit. pains) yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and by His stripes we are healed." NOTE - The last part of this verse,"by His stripes we are healed," is not talking about spiritual healing, as some have taught, but definite physical healing. God does not "heal" a human spirit, he recreates it. He does however, heal our bodies and minds. This clearly shows that your healing was paid for at the cross!
ReplyDeleteJeremiah 33:6 "Behold, I will bring you health and cure, and I will cure you, and will reveal unto you the abundance of peace and truth."
Matthew 18:19 "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on Earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven."
Mark 11:24 "Therefore I say to you whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them." Surely this includes healing!
Isaiah 58:8 "Thy light shall break forth as the morning, and thy health shall spring forth speedily; and thy righteousness shall go before thee: the glory of the Lord shall be thy rear guard."
Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3

Hi sweet Melanie.
ReplyDeletePraying for your precious son and your family during this time.
Yes, worship and praise Him all the time. He is our loving and faithful God. His plans are good. We can trust Him with every detail of our lives. Even the unknowns. He cares and loves us beyond what our minds can fathom.
You and yours are loved by the Creator of the universe. He sings over you day and night. My His perfect love cast out all fear. May songs of praise flow freely from your heart as God ministers to you and yours. You are not alone.
I feel like singing.
Yes, Lord, yes, yes, Lord!
