Andrew and I went to an Art Fair in June. He likes graffiti art!
A favorite thing this summer...visiting Phillipi Park to rock climb, and pose on this tree for Mom's camera.
One day after brain surgery. That is not a bandage on his head...just a cold cloth. The surgeon only shaved a little hair.
Today (9/20/09) after a shower and shampoo. Andrew's hair covers the incision. When Andrew smiles a genuine smile, it is perfect. Here it is for the camera...so it's crooked. I don't care!

Thank you for sharing pictures. Andrew is perfect! He is adorable, cute, sweet, and he looks a lot like his momma! I showed his picture to my husband and he said "Good, now I can visualize the child that I am praying for healing." You are blessed, Melanie. And you have blessed us by allowing perfect strangers to pray for Andrew. Actually, we no longer are strangers, only an extension of the Body of Christ as brothers and sisters.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful smile and a handsome boy! God is watching over you! Praying for you in OHIO! Nancy from OHIO

ReplyDeleteAmazing how they worked around his hair for surgery, that's so neat!
We were asked to shave Jordan's. His incision went from one ear to the next, around his forehead.
Andrew looks GREAT!!!
I was listening to this song tonight and thought of you! Here is some of the lyrics. This is just what you have been doing:
I will move ahead, bold and confident
Taking every step in obedience
While I'm waiting
I will serve You
While I'm waiting
I will worship
While I'm waiting
I will not faint
I'll be running the race
Even while I wait
(Taken from John Waller's, While I'm Waiting)
Blessings my sweet friend♥

Thanks for sharing these awesome pictures. Warrior Andrew looks so great. I love you sis.
ReplyDeleteMelanie, Andrew looks so healthy - even the day after his surgery! I can see by looking at him that he is a strong young man, and I know his strength will help God in fighting this terrible disease. I'm so glad to see him. Still praying in Ark. laurie
ReplyDeleteSo glad he is able to sit there and make himself smile for you. What a blessing after all he has been through. He is continually in my prayers, and awaiting good news daily. Hang in there God has enough strength for all of you. Jackie
ReplyDeleteOh, he so handsome! I enjoy seeing every picture of someone I do not know personally, but pray for continually. It helps me in my praying on a more personal level. I am looking forward to seeing ALL that God has done and will continue to do through this special guy and his family.
ReplyDeleteHe is such an adorable sweet looking boy! He looks just like his mama...I am so glad you shared these photo's. Now I have a face to go with my prayers. He looks soo good the day after surgery. Praise God!! Blessings, Debbie
ReplyDeleteI am going to show these photos to my 10 yr old daughter. She was so worried that he had to have his head shaved. (To a young girl this is the worst thing she can imagine.) I assured her that it would be easier on a boy, but she'll love to see this thick head of beautiful hair! (and I see he has his beloved dog!)
ReplyDeletePraying for this boy. Praying for Andrew.
p.s. Clark Gable & Elvis Presley both had crooked smiles, and it only added to their appeal. I'd say the same is true for Andrew. :-)
ReplyDeleteHis crooked smile making me smile this morning!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm praying!
Sandy
Skate Boy is one cutie patootie! Thanks for posting those pics.

Hey Melanie,
ReplyDeleteI printed the picture of Andrew smiling with the prayer shawl beside him. I am sending it with a note to our prayer shawl ministry. They will be touched seeing Andrew and I am asking them to continue praying for him.
Our worship team for the service I attend on the beach also prayed tonight for Andrew. His name is being lifted up by many.
Love, Barbara
What a beautiful young man! I love being able to "see" him. It helps me put some framing around my prayers.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing his life with us, Melanie. I know it can't always be easy to be here. I am grateful to know more and to hear about Andrew's progress.
peace~elaine
Just wanted to introduce myself as one of your family members, and tell you that we are praying! My husband is Grant Pittman (Laverne William's grandson). Grant's sister Stacie pointed me to your blog, and I have been so encouraged by your faith! We are praying for your son that God will heal!
ReplyDeleteI know I've been introduced to your parents on several occasions at the Williams Family reunions and possibly met you too. And it was such a honor for me to know your grandmother Mamie before she died. She was a special lady. My father was her doctor (Dr. Bryan McCraw) and he always told me how much he enjoyed her visits!!! Either way...just know that you have us praying too! What a blessing it is to see how God is being honored through the difficult circumstance you are in!
Praying and believing God!!!
