Triumphal Procession

Audra, Avery, Me, Andrew, Ted the pup - Mother's Day '09
Andrew, Dan, Avery - Christmas vacation 12/08

I'm praising God today. He is worthy, holy, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, alpha, omega, and already in our tomorrow!!!!!

When you read that, read it aloud so your own ears can hear the Good News of our God!

Let it soak down deep into your spirit where the Holy Spirit resides. Lift up a praise of adoration and thanksgiving because He inhabits, lives in, and dwells in OUR PRAISES.

And I'm thanking Him for the Body of Christ who battles with us in the eye of the hurricane.

While we had to face the "facts" of very bad news yesterday, the truth of God's WORD and His PLANS for Andrew and our family remain sturdy, solid and stable.

How you can agree in prayer with us: A miracle of healing, zero side effects from radiation and chemo which begins Monday. Wisdom in the best way to provide for him nutritionally and any other external approaches, peace for Andrew and a deep very personal relationship between just Jesus and Andrew. We also pray that Andrew would see the beauty of Christ and fall in love with His Savior, the One who suffered for him and all of us.

Andrew accepted Christ as his personal Savior a few years ago and this week we reasserted that with Him. Over the years Andrew (and my other children) have prayed on my behalf when I have been sick. Andrew knows that God hears and answers prayer and he fully expects that God will heal Him.
Pray for the doctors, nurses and all involved in Andrew's care.
How can I express my heartfelt gratitude, love and thanks for all of you who have blessed us and continue to bless our family in your encouragement, timely scripture (often reflecting what we are meditating upon for that day!), and intercession for Andrew and us? There are no words but if there were, they would fill the deepest, widest places.

And this is already manifesting: "Thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of HIM" 2 Cor. 2:14. NIV

  2. Melanie, I read your post and just cried. NOT from sadness, but from just seeing and hearing how the LORD knits us all together in the body of Christ. Lifting each other and bearing one anothers burdens and rejoicing with you when you rejoice. What a priviledge to lift you and your family to the LORD ! I sure wish I lived close 'cause I'd be bringing y'all a big basket of fruit and cheese to help you through the long hrs. of a hospital stay. :) You'll just have to imagine it, okay? Still praying with faith to move the mountain !

Only God knew in a heartbeat that your life would be changed. I'm encouraged by your praise of Him as your walk with God has been placed on an unknown path. Keep walking and praising the God Who Is, Was and Is to Come my sister in Christ!

  10. Thank you Mel for shining His light on the front lines of battle.

Thank you Lord for blessing Andrew with a Mom like Mel. Heavenly Papa, please heal Andrew and let him go through chemo and radiation easily and with no or very little side effects. Give Melanie wisdom about other things she can do externally for help speed his healing. Give their family peace when peace doesn't make sense. A calmness when they want to run and scream. You of all are familiar with the pain they are facing. Most of all Lord, draw Andrew closer to you than ever before. May he see You clearer and love you all the more. Thank you for placing Andrew on my heart and mind. Please Father, hear our prayers, our pleas for mercy and deliverance. We will give you all the glory, honor and praise. In Jesus name I pray, according to your perfect will. Amen.

Thank you for letting us know how to pray dear one. Maybe you could set up a PO Box or have a business address where we could send Andrew a card or letter? Let me know and let him know he has a woman alot like you praying for him in Georgia and others all around. (((hugs))) Together with you I stand...under His wings.

  14. I was awakened in the middle of the night last evening; it's been happening a lot lately. Instead of idly passing the time, my mind was drawn to you and Andrew, and I prayed. I happen to think that the prayers of the saints availeth much and in the right direction.

May the peace of Christ present himself in the richest of measures this very day over your home and your heart.

My prayers for all of you...for Andrew: all that you requested. I will stand with you. For you: for the Lord to show himself throughout this adventure...that He will carry you and ALL your family through this and allow you to recognize and rejoice in all the good things that are happening parallel to this rough track.

  20. Melanie, I have been away from my blog for about a month and was just browsing through. Your blog was one of the first I was drawn to. My heart and prayers go out to you, your precious child, Andrew, and the rest of your family!

I'm currently practicing a song by the Booth Brothers, "He Saw it All." It is running through my mind as I read your blog and respond. It reminds us that one touch from the Master is all it takes to be healed. I am praying for that one touch for dear Andrew, that he may be healed and made whole! Glory be to God!

    Love, Rhonda

  21. Melanie,
I've been away and just got caught up on your last few posts. My heart aches for all you and your family is going through. I will pray Andrew and for divine intervention. There is no medical diagnosis bigger than our God.

Your praise in the midst of the storm is an inspiration. You are a light to many in the darkness.

    Blessings and prayers,

  23. Melanie,

As always I come to encourage, but I am greatly encouraged!

Oh, your praises bring so much joy to all who hear them and glory and honor to our Father!!

    When I read this I could not help but remembember the testimony of Abraham and thought of you;

...He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God.

And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. (Rom 4:20-22)

Standing with you each step of the way.

I'll be praying specifically for all the things you requested~

  24. Thank you for the specific prayer requests. I will print them off so that I can be in total unison with your prayers.

I will also be praying for you, & your other family members as you weather the storm with Andrew.

  27. Sweet Melanie,

You already show the "miracle" of faith to us. I see Jesus in your words here. Thank you for shining brightly.

    Praying as always for Andrew.

His Spirit intercedes for us, what a gift to know when I am weak and wordless, He is strong. Jesus never tires. His prayers are always being presented to the Father.

Praise the Lord. He is good. His love endures forever.

    Love you.
