31 Days Closer to a Cuter You! Day 21 "Fruit for an Apple"

From the polyvore site, once again I've searched high and low for figure flattering pieces and this time it's for the o/apple body type. I have created both a casual and a dressy outfit for the woman whose challenge is to balance her bottom half with her abundant top half. The challenge of this body type is, as with all of the types, to find a pleasing proportion. Your assets are lovely legs and arms. You, like the H, are looking to define your waist while adding some width to the lower half. You have the added challenge of minimizing the top half. (Again, ignore the prices; These outfits are just for inspiration.)

Keys to the casual look: wider leg pants add volume to bottom half; empire waist top hits at the smallest part of your torso, defining it. Below the empire seaming is a fullness and flowiness. Think flowy/feminine - not boxy. Longer necklace visually extends torso.

Keys to the dressy look: tailored through top, slight v-neck, would also be great to have a more obvious v to open up neck area. Look for lower cut v's but wear a cami underneath for coverage. A fuller skirt is great to balance you. Ankle strap heels are great on your lovely legs. (I really like this dress...the cut, the colors, the happy orange accents!)
