So You Wanna Be A Cuter You?

Starting Sunday, May 1, I'll be bringing you a new blog series called
"31 Days Closer to a Cuter You!"

Topics will include:

  • how not to look old
  • finding your best hem lengths
  • shoes that flatter
  • hair issues
  • how to dress YOUR body
  • kitchen cuisine for beauty treatments
  • my favorite "beauty" products
  • and more!

 But wait! That's not all.

Sandy, The Amazing Adventures of Friday Fitness Girl, is the brain behind the "31 Days Closer..." child!

Check out her post here to find out more about the "31 Days Closer..." series and the other cool chick bloggers who are participating.

In the meantime, is there a particular issue you deal with along the lines of looking your best?
What is your biggest challenge in looking like the "you" you would like to see reflected in the mirror?

~ And hey, I know this is all superficial stuff, but sometimes it's fun to have a little girl talk about clothes, shoes, and make-up.
I know I could use a little "superficial fluff & stuff" now and again. What about you?

  1. I'm so looking forward to this series and was SO excited that you are posting on it as well!

Girl, need help with my hair. It's coarse, naturally curly (read:frizzy) and I don't know what to do with it so I pull it back all the time. It's great for cooking/baking/running/chasing around after the kids, but would love to have a simple solution for other events. I try to be thankful everyday for hair as some of relatives have issues with thinning.

But any tips would be appreciated! :)

  2. Well...coming from someone as beautiful as you are, inside and OUT, I'm all ears!!

Bring it on Mel! I'm excited to join in♥

  3. I'm looking forward to this! My goal and prayer as I age is that I'll be "cute and beautiful in the Lord". Can't wait to read all you share. :-)

    Much love and continued prayers~

PS: For some reason, I can't comment as I always have been able to do... The options don't let me???

  4. all eyes/ears for "how not to look old" ; )

  5. Looking forward to all your tips, Melanie! It will be fun... you're right, we need some.

  6. I'm a big "hair person" and love to have good hair. I am always fluctuating between going lighter or darker. Sometimes I just think I'm going to dye the whole thing dark brown and become a brunette. But then I get a glimpse of myself in an old picture with really light hair and I love it. So, I guess my question is, how do you know which color is best on you? Do I just need to try it out? Or is there some sort of rule to follow? I've been a natural blonde my whole life, but I help it stay bright with highlights.

Looking so forward to your series. Thanks for doing this with me, friend!!!

  7. Some fluff is good. Let's get cuter! b

  8. Yay! I love the fluff stuff. Bring it!

  9. I popped over from Jen's Finding Heaven...and I have to say I am so very excited about your portion of this 31 Day Walk!!

I posted on Facebook about this...and am so excited to tune in for each of these "sessions"!! Having just finished my Lent series, I know the struggle that can come in trying to maintain...you all have my prayers as you step and blog!!

    Big hugs,

  10. PS - you asked about our "issues" and mine is this: I am 5'9 and have a long torso...and I tend to gravitate towards t-shirts all the time because they fit and they are cheap (hello Target seasonal tees!!). I want to dress it up a bit and look cute like all my girlfriends manage to do, but since I am curvy, I don't know what to pick that will flatter and not look...stupid! ha ha So if you can help me out (cuz I am sure I am not alone in this), I would love that sooo much!!

  11. Sounds fun...I need something for this 50 year old mom...I feel lost, so looking forward to this.

  12. I just have to follow this....I'm 49 and look it! Can't wait to read what you have to say. Am following you!
